Easter Week: God Is About to Die For You: He Has Already Died For You

If there was ever a week to be reminded of how much God loves you this would be it. How many people in your life do you think would actually die for you because they love you so much? They would literally die knowing it could save you, who would do that for you? I can almost bet you don’t have anyone like that in your life unless you know Jesus.

God loves you so much that He would hate to see you fail, He would literally hate to see you not live the life you were created to have. Think about this: all through the Old Testament these people have to sacrifice animals to God just to be cleaned or to show you’re in a relationship with God. How many of us would be willing to sacrifice some animals now?

I will be incredibly honest; I can eat meat but killing probably not my style. Jesus came so we no longer had to do those kinds of things anymore. Now, all we have to do is give Him our life in the same way He gave His for us, no we don’t have to die but love Him unconditionally & because of what this week signifies, the verse of the week is this:

John 3:16 NKJV

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

He gave His life so that we can have an everlasting one. He gave His life because He loves us. He gave His life so we could be one on one with Him. He gave his life so we could have the Holy Spirit here on earth. He = Jesus

You are loved more than you could ever imagine so why not show God the same unconditional love. No matter the trials, no matter the hardships or the downfalls. No matter what you are going through God gets the glory because He gave the ultimate sacrifice so you could live your life your own way. Everlasting life sounds pretty good right? And we get to live it with a God who would literally do anything for us.

Be reminded today that Jesus died for you. He died for your sins. He died so you can do anything you want in this life. He died so we don’t have to sacrifice our animals. He died so we could have one on one conversations with Him. He died so we can be saved. He is the friend that would literally die for you because He wants what is best for you and that is the best news you could ever receive.

Some things to think about & journal if you are feeling spunky:

  • Do you know anyone in your life that would literally die for you? (Other than Jesus)
  • Should you be treating your relationship with Jesus better knowing what He has done for you?
  • Is your walk with God conditional or unconditional love?
